Do Not Drink and Play
Just as you shouldn't drink and drive, the same can be said for playing poker or online poker, by getting drunk you are more likely to not be thinking straight and you will throw away tons of chips. Having a social drink is ok but just do not go completeley overboard as the players will see your weakness and take advantage of it.

If you bluff all the time then you are really not going to be taken seriously around the table, you should wait and then pull off some great bluffs as and when the opportunity arises.

This is somewhat of a simple one and the reason is simply not to play poker when you fell stressed. The reason being is because you just will not be in the correct state of mind and you will become a lot more likely to ruin your game. Instead of concentrating on your game you are going to be concentrating on your lifestyle.
