A vast amount of people cannot answer this question because of the fact that there is not a definitive answer. But lets have a quick peak and try to see what the game is actually all about, is it mainly skill or luck?

Luck
Lets take a quick glance as to some reasons you need chance to be succesful in a game of poker, its simply because you do not have the power to be dealt the best cards, so if you get a bad hand then you are alot more likely to lose.

Skill
Skill is a very important and crucial factor in a game of poker, simply because you have to know when the time is right to pull out so that you do not end up loasing lots of money. You also have to know how and when to call a good bluff.

I genuinley believe that the game itself is about both of the elements. But over time I feel skill creeps in alot more. For example if a beginner poker player played ten games against a person of high calibre then they would probably end up winning 1 or 2 but the advanced player would come out a lot more higher.
